Asia Pacific Design Library - State Library of Queensland
The Constellation Pendant Lights were originally launched as part of Unlimited: Asia Pacific Design Triennial, at the opening of the Asia Pacific Design Library/Queensland State Library. The Constellation Pendant Lights provide an aesthetically and functionally important element to the APDL, and have become an iconic feature as a backdrop in the Queenslandersign video interviews, Nielsen Design Lecture collateral and even feature on Flickr.
The lights enrich this two level space designed by Donovan Hill Architects (now BVN Donovan Hill) and show how easily they can meld into both contemporary (APDL) and adaptive reuse (Hafele showroom) projects.
